Lt. Farrington was killed in action on February 27, 1945, in Germany. He was awarded the Silver Star posthumously for “gallantry in action against the enemy” as well as the Purple Heart with the Oak Leaf Cluster. He is buried in the Henri-Chapelle American Cemetery in Henri-Chapelle, Belgium.
